Saturday saw Crow’s Nest (3g U S Navy Flag – Argentina, by Sadler’s Wells) record back-to-back wins in the five furlong Novice Stakes at Bath.
George Boughey’s recruit finished a promising third last month and returned to win in good style over six furlongs. Sent off favourite to follow up, he made all under Pat Cosgrave and was ridden when challenged approaching the final furlong. Keeping on well, he led by three parts of a length on the line.
Bred by Barronstown Stud, the dual winner was a half-brother to the highly-rated Natural Scenery.
