Shadn (2f No Nay Never – Amethyst, by Sadler’s Wells) showcased her talent and tenacity when rallying to win the Group 2 Criterium de Maisons-Laffitte.

A Listed winner in July, the Andrew Balding-trained filly had since ran well in defeat against the opposite sex, finishing third in both the Group 3 Prestige Stakes and Group 2 Mill Reef Stakes.

Partnered by the in-form Pierre-Charles Boudot, she settled towards the back of the field and made headway to chase down the leader approaching the final furlong. Digging deep inside the final furlong, she led close home to deby the favourite Devil by a head.

The Alrabban Racing-owned filly was bred by Barronstown Stud out of Listed winner Amethyst, a full-sister to 2,000 Guineas victor King Of Kings.
