The Curragh staged the Gr.3 Minstrel Stakes on its card yesterday, which was won by Mrs John Magnier’s Air Chief Marshal. The son of Danehill Dancer took the lead some way out before striding clear to win by a length and three- quarters and register his second victory in a week, following success in a conditions race at Dundalk on Monday. Second in the Gr.1 Pheonix Stakes last year, he is likely to step up again in class with the Gr.2 Celebration Mile a possibility.
Bred by Barronstown Stud and a €320,000 Goffs Million graduate, he is a full-brother to the Listed winner and young sire Misu Bond and a half-brother to the dual Listed winner Slip Dance (Celtic Swing).
