A STEP up in class beckons for Arosa after the daughter of Sadler’s Wells gave trainer David Wachman his tenth winner of the season with a stylish victory in the fillies’ maiden.
The Diane Nagle-owned filly was having her first run since finishing second in a Navan maiden last October and had to be ridden along by Wayne Lordan to chase down the leaders early in the straight.
However, she picked up in fine style to lead over a furlong from home and record an easy five-length success over Go For Glamour.
“She’ll improve from that as our three-year-olds have been sick and we have had to take it easy on them. She might go for a Listed race or even higher next,” Wachman said.
